![]() ![]() I use Foxit Reader daily as it is the PDF reader we use at work, and it has quickly replaced Adobe Acrobat Reader as the only PDF reader I want to use. Opmerkingen: I had thought that Adobe had the market monopolized for the PDF reading software industry, but now that I know about Foxit Reader from work I want to use it both at work and at home, because I really enjoy the comprehensive search options and find Foxit Reader to be a more efficient and reliable program. I assume it would handle better if provided in a separate and heavier version of the product. Being able to work in PDF directly saves us a lot of time and reduces the rates of errors in our documentation.Īnnotations and edits with multimedia file attachments are not very convenient to handle. Previously, we had to perform such tasks within Word and only convert to PDF after completing the review process but that would often require additional time spent on reformatting since the back and format usually altered several elements of the document. We simply use PDF to merge all the separate reports submitted from our multiple field teams into one final complete document.įoxit's wide variety of annotation tools for taking notes, leaving comments, and providing feedback directly on documents has been extremely useful for easing our team's workflows. Apart from making remote collaboration with field agents much easier, it makes reports compilation a much easier task. Sadly, the company makes it incredibly difficult to reach someone, and although the company boasts being a cheaper option than Adobe, they certainly don't care about helping on the expensive standalone license. ![]() It takes a Microsoft Office approach to the layout, which most people are familiar with. There is nothing I didn't like about the software. I find it significantly easier to use than Adobe Acrobat. The layout, the tab structure of having multiple PDFs open, and all the editing options out in the open. And when they do communicate with you they will blatantly stay they are not interested in providing a discount unless you purchase a volume license. As of this writing, their website is created so that the only way you can communicate is via phone or support ticket. They are not interested in communicating with you at all. I find that the company is what makes the experience bad, not the software itself. Opmerkingen: The company makes it incredibly difficult to reach someone, and although the company boasts being a cheaper option than Adobe, they certainly don't care about helping on the expensive standalone license. Foxit has a "Start" panel that displays the recent documents, and if you accidentally close it, there's no way to open it again unless you restart the application. Clicking on it opens a pop-up for taking notes, which means you can't select the text without removing the annotation.2. Once you annotate a specific part in the PDF, you cannot copy-paste it directly. So far, I haven't encountered any lags in the software.Ī couple of things -1. It takes no time to load and is ready to work. Last, but not least, it's remarkably fast. It comes in handy when I'm deep diving into topics that require extensive note-taking.5. ![]() Annotation tools - Foxit is packed with a good number of annotation tools that can be used to take diverse varieties of notes. Page Style - Takes one click to change page style from "single page" to "continuous" to "facing" and more.4. Color Schemes - It comes with various inbuilt color schemes, and all of them fit perfectly with the PDFs which really improves the whole reading experience.3. I've tried a lot of PDF readers, but none of them were as good as Foxit.2. I use Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, and it's a little old operating system, but it works without any issues. Cross Platform - It works like a charm on my machine. I use Foxit as my go-to PDF reader for numerous reasons - 1. I'm an extensive reader and note-taker, and it has all the necessary features included that make everything more manageable.
